Nose Surgery
When you meet someone for the first time your eyes look directly to the center of his/her face, and mainly to his/her eyes, nose and lips. That’s why your nose is so important in the harmony of your face.
Rhinoplasty or Nose Job is one of the most common of all plastic surgery procedures. The reason may be aesthetic, reconstructive purpose, correction of birth defects or breathing problems.
This procedure is considered as number 1 in our hospital and clinics. 60 percent of our surgeries are done for clients who have already undergone this surgery 2 or 3 times before in other clinics or other countries.
Rhinoplasty or Nose job can:
- Reduce or increase the size of your Nose
- Change the shape of the tip or the bridge
- Narrow the span of the nostrils
- Change the angle between your Nose and your upper lip
- Correct a birth defect or injury, or help some breathing problem
- Correct any deviation
Rhinoplasty or nose job can enhance your appearance and your self-confidence. The change may be very evident or very subtle, depending mainly on the thickness of your skin.
Bone and cartilage are the structures generally modified during the Rhinoplasty or nose job.
Dr. Nassar uses a closed technique, which means scars will not appear.
Rhinoplasty or nose job is usually performed under local anesthesia with sedation; therefore you will sleep through the procedure. When the Rhinoplasty or nose job is complete, a splint will be applied to help your nose maintain its new shape and to help reduce the swelling.
Usually we don’t use nasal packs or soft plastic splints to be placed in your nostrils to stabilize the septum.
It is a 30 min procedure and each case must be studied separately as Dr. Nassar considers that your nose must fit your face, and he doesn’t agree with the copy-paste theory.
Rhinoplasty result may be apparent 1 month after the surgery but the final result shows 6 months post surgery.
Dr. Nassar can treat your nose even after damage from previous surgery; in this case he uses a cartilage graft taken from the septum (inside the nose, or from the back of the ear) to reconstruct your nose by having the natural look again and breathing as before.
We can summarize the nose job surgery by these following points:
- No scar or appeared wound
- No edema (swelling)
- No bruising (blue marks)
- No pain
- No lasting packing
Tip-plasty: the nasal tip may be corrected with a stitch without surgery
Nose remodeling by filler:
Also called non-surgical nose job, capable of transforming your entire profile in under 10 minutes. It is done to correct a nasal deviation and any uneven nasal bridge; it gives you a fast and perfect result.
Tip lift by Botox:
Botox may be used to lift the tip of the nose at our clinics, it gives the nose a perfect swoop – with no recovery time.
