SMAS Lift
The SMAS Lift, (Superficial Musculo Aponeurotic System) procedure or mini facelift follows the trend of procedure simplification. This procedure works on the layer of fibrous connective tissue just under the facial fat layer. This method relies on lifting the deep system of muscles and soft tissues, placing them back where they "used to be" in the young age.
The SMAS Facelift or Mini Lift Surgery is an advanced technique for natural facial rejuvenation. The SMAS lift procedure or mini lift surgery has, above all, an effect on the jaw line and sagging cheeks. It is half an hour procedure, giving five years lasting results, with only small incisions within the hairline, virtually invisible, and with 2 to 3 days of recovery.
This procedure gives the face what it had lost during the years because of smoking, exhaustion, weight loss and sagging skin.
Indications of SMAS facelift procedure or mini facelift surgery:
- A mild to moderate loss of skin elasticity and muscle tone of the face and neck.
- Jowls and deep creases between the base of the nose and corners of the mouth.
- Developed facial wrinkles.
- Lack of youthful chin and neck contours.
- Tired or “sad” facial appearance.
SMAS Lift is usually performed under local Anesthesia with sedation.
Results of the SMAS Lift procedure or mini facelift surgery are excellent, natural looking and comparable to the results of a full facelift.
After the SMAS facelift a bandage will be put on for 12 hours to prevent postoperative swelling.
