Lipoplasty - Tummy Tuck
Tummy tuck is a body contour surgical procedure designed to smoothen and flatten the abdomen by tightening the abdominal wall muscles and removing excess fatty tissue and skin. It is a real body sculpture by defining the curves.
Dr. Nassar is well known for his special technique in the tummy tuck procedure that gives a natural result for the waist and abdomen with a short recovery time after surgery compared to the old techniques.
Tummy tuck is one of the most requested cosmetic surgeries, done for those having a protruding abdomen or are unhappy of the size and shape of the abdomen.
The update regarding this surgery is that Dr. Nassar uses a new technique called Lipoplasty. This new technique shortens the operation time and the whole surgery won’t take more than two hours.
The most common indications:
- Pregnancy
- Aging
- Significant fluctuations in weight
- Heredity saggy skin
- Prior abdominal surgeries
- Stretch marks
- Abdomen muscles relaxation
The aim of this intervention is to remove skin and fat excess. The fat excess is removed by liposculpture or lipolaser.
You can choose the shape of your new belly button among pictures that Dr. Nassar will show you. It can be done in the shape of a heart, triangular or squared, or you can maintain the older shape.
Dr. Nassar has his special touch adapted to each case for best results and he call it lipoplasty and not tummy tuck anymore cause he uses the vibrolipo laser in all the area of the abdomen without any restrictions, instead of cutting he joins the muscle to curve the waist with a shorter scar.
The surgery time is shorter than other techniques and the recovery time too.
The surgery is performed under epidural or general anesthesia.
The scar is horizontal and above the pubic area, no stitches to be removed.
After surgery, a bandage and a panty are worn for 4 weeks.
The patient has to stop work for 1 week, and daily care of the scar is advised.
Heavy smoking, diabetes and uncontrolled hypertension are contraindications for this surgery.
Most of the times, there are very minimal and simple consequences. However, if any major complication occurs, you should immediately inform Dr. Toni Nassar
The patient can resume his/her sports activities after the second month post surgery.
